Hey everyone! So as you know I am in California right now to compete in STN, Mr M said we can skip the first day of blogs, since it would be incredibly boring to be talking about plane flights and blah blah blah.
Anyways, starting off the day I woke up of course and Asia (My Roommate) and I started to pack our small backpacks. We went down to order breakfast at a little shop in the hotel, I ordered hot chocolate and a fruit cup. After breakfast, we hopped on the bus and drove to Warner brother's studios, there we had an awesome tour, and we learned that a bunch of television shows shot there were things like my favorite, the Big Bang theory, Friends, Gilmore girls, and even the Ellen Degenres show! On the cart, quite a few people said they saw the actress who played Bernedette in the Big Bang theory! Me, I didnt see it, because I was looking forward the whole time, and Im me. After we got to go on the set of the real live Ellen show! We saw the X where she walks out, and we sat in the seats her real audience sits! A bummer though is we were not allowed to film inside the set because spoilers, but there were none and it really wasn't a big deal.
When we finished the awesome tour, we went to this gift shop that had a ton of Harry Potter, Friends, Big Bang theory, and Batman stuff. I just bought a Ravenclaw lanyard because I lost my other one and a Bazinga! magnet for my dad.
After we finished at Warner brothers, we drove to lunch which I had Carl's Junior and then to UCLA, the campus was really pretty, and the biggest campus Ive ever seen, there we learned how to apply for college there and what we would learn. We watched this creepy short film that a student made that Tim Burton saw and turned into a movie. I liked the presentation, but Warner Brothers tired everyone including me out and a few other kids fell asleep so that was okay.
Then we went on an hour bus ride to go to see the Lakers play the Timberwolves in basketball. I really liked the game, and sometimes cameras showed random people in the audience dancing, and no matter how hard we danced, the cameras didn't point at us. The game was awesome, and Shaquille O'neal was there watching! We got a free mini statue of him and I think I will keep mine in good shape for a while, and then sell it for a high price because people actually want these statues and they cannot get them because they didn't come to the game.
Today was awesome! Thank you for reading and stay tuned for tommorow's blog! I will add some pictures of the trip so far...
